Trailer Driving Lessons

When you pass your driving test, you receive a “B Class” driving licence. This allows you to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tones. If you wish to tow a trailer (over 0.75 tonnes) or Caravan then it depends on when you passed your driving test. If you passed your test before 1st January 1997 then you have “grandfather rights” which allow you to tow trailers and caravans.

If not, you need passed your trailer test (B+E Class). This will then allow you to tow a trailer (over 0.75 tonnes) or a Caravan.
